Look at the size of our tomatoes; soon they will be bright red and sugary, ready to be picked and cooked for few minutes with delicious extra virgin oil from Pisciotta, a little garlic, and mixed with spaghetti. Or for a delicious "caprese", made with few slices of tomatoes and of mozzarella, e.v. olive oil and few leaves of basil. Succulent summer dish.

Also beans and strawberries are growing well in our organic farm.

Look at this delicious, mouth watering pizza, called Bufalina, made with mozzarella di bufala, basil and tomatoes, you can eat it in Palinuro, (at Molly's pub) a nearby town, 15 minutes by car.

One month later, and courgettes are getting ready. My favourite way of eating the flowers is to stuff them with a small piece of mozzarella and an anchovy, and fried with a very light batter.

Vacation in a small organic farm

In this wonderful area located south of Naples, known as Cilento, the medieval town of Pisciotta, offers many opportunities to all lovers of country, mountain and sea.

If you love spending a period of your vacation in a tiny organic farm, where you can pick your own vegetables, few meters from your apartment, near to mountains for climbing and few minutes from unpolluted sea, in a very quite area, south of Naples, (2 hours by train or by car), if you like areas with little or no traffic and absolutely fresh air, at a very reasonable weekly rates, this is where you have to stay. We have 4 apartments with 4 beds each one.

Pisciotta ed il Parco Nazionale del Cilento

Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park is the second largest park in Italy. It stretches from the Tyrrhenian coast to the foot of the Apennines in Campania and Basilicata, and it includes the peaks of the Alburni Mountains, Cervati and Gelbison and the coastal buttresses of Mt. Bulgheria and Mt. Stella.
The extraordinary naturalistic richness of the heterogeneous territory goes hand in hand with the mythical and mysterious character of a land rich in history and culture: from the call of the nymph Leucosia to the beaches where Palinuro left Aeneas, from the ruins of the Greek colonies of Elea and Paestum to the wonderful Certosa of Padula. And everything else you can find in such an unexplored territory.
